Military history comes alive through Har-Ber Village’s Civil War Days.
Experience the sights, sounds and smells of military and civilian life during America’s bloodiest war years.
Past events have included Hart’s Battery musket and cannon fire, Federal and Confederate military camps, a Federal Army Corp of Engineers demonstration and exhibit, an Army field hospital, undertaker and a refuge camp.
Life on the homefront is brought to life with hearth cooking, spinning, weaving, quilting, wheat grinding, basket weaving and sewing demonstrations.
Each year brings new volunteers demonstrating a variety of crafts and trades such as leather working, natural dyeing, broom making, printing press, blacksmithing and banjo making.
All activities free with regular admission to Village.
Volunteers, demonstrators, living history reenactors and theme-related vendors are always needed and welcome. Please call 918-786-6446 FMI. Tell us in which event you are interested.
