Due to recent state budget cuts for schools in Oklahoma, the Grand Lake Family YMCA is stepping up to raise money for the Grove Public Schools – and you can help by joining in on some community fun!
The YMCA is sponsoring a BBQ Dinner and Golf Tournament to raise funds necessary to save one of Grove Public School’s Resource Officers.
On Friday, August 5th, the YMCA will host a BBQ dinner at the Grove Civic Center from 5 pm to 8pm.
Tickets are available at the Grove YMCA or any Grove area bank.
Prices are $25 for adults, $10 for kids 10 and under and free for children ages five and under.
The menu will feature some of the area’s best local smokers (at least according to them) including Grove Mayor Marty Follis, Jeremy Riggs and Dick Seybolt.
The proceeds from this BBQ Dinner will go to the GPS staff position and Strong Kids Campaign.
The Strong Kids Campaign is used to sponsor kids and adults in our community that would otherwise not be able to participate in sports programs or programs at the YMCA.
Donations of any amount can be sent to: Grand Lake Family YMCA Safe Kids = Strong Kids.
