The Oakley Big Bass Tour is the nation’s premier big bass tournament series – and it hits Grand Lake this weekend with the Oklahoma Big Bass Classic.
This is a 2 day event designed for the amateur angler and is designed to pay-out multiple times, each day, for the largest fish at that particular weigh in.
There are hourly payouts of $1,000 (top 8 fish each weigh in win money) happening 7 times on both Saturday and Sunday, and then the overall big bass prize – a Nitro-Mercury bass boat package worth more than $30,000.
Weigh-ins will be held for each hour between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
You must register prior to the tournament, either online or at on-site registration from 3-6 p.m. Friday at Wolf Creek Park and Boat Ramp in Grove.
Entry fees for the tourney are $110 for one day or $160 for both – so you will have a good chance of getting your money back. But there will be competition, as the 2014 event had over 500 participants.
