Woodstock On The Water, celebrating the 76th anniversary of Grand Lake, will take place on Saturday, August 13th, on the beach in Disney at the East end of Pensacola Dam.
Boaters are encouraged to anchor out near the beach on the Disney side of the dam for an afternoon concert that gets started at noon and will rock and roll all the way until 5 pm.
Bands booked to perform throughout the afternoon are Eschelon, a four piece band at 12:45 PM, The Detonators at 1:00 PM, The Sellouts getting underway at 2:00 PM and followed by the headline band, Dressed to Kill, which is a KISS Tribute band.
A stage will be brought in to the Disney Park, vendors may be on hand to provide food and drink, it’s anticipated courtesy transportation will be provided from designated off-site parking areas to the park, and much, much more.
There is also a rock crawler event scheduled for that weekend.
This event continues to become a tradition as the largest birthday bash hosted on Grand Lake.
Last year, the gathering created a large raft-out which will grow with each coming celebration of the Pensacola Dam’s birth. The events sponsors, which are Arrowhead & Cherokee Yacht Clubs, Cobalt Boats, the Grand River Dam Authority, REC, Hydro-Hoist Lifts, Reasor’s Discount Foods and the South Grand Lake Chamber are to be saluted for making the event possible.
