The 21st Annual Hook N Cook Off, presented by Vyve Broadband, is excited to announce that KTUL Channel 8’s Evening Anchor, Kristin Dickerson, will be the emcee for the event on September 13th at South Grand Lake Regional Airport.

The Hook ‘N Cook Off will kick off a busy fall with all sorts of great Grand Lake fall events on the schedule.

This year’s event includes a car and bike show, a Grand Lake Marketplace full of arts and craft vendors, inflatable bounce houses for children in the kid zone, vintage warbird airplane rides and of course everyone’s favorite – the Catfish Cook Off competition – all while Grand Lake’s favorite band – Licketty Split – entertains the crowd.

By the way…it’s not just a fish cookoff. Teams will be cooking hushpuppies and cole slaw as well, with the popular people’s choice award voted on by attendees. So, get out and YOU decide who makes the best fish, hushpuppies and cole slaw in the Grand Lake area.

The gates open at 9:30 and the tasting starts at 11:30 am with festivities wrapping up at 3:30 PM.2014 Hook N Cook Off Grand Lake

The Girlfriends of the Airport will be selling beer, pop and water so just bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the day. Tasting kits are only $8 at the gate for adults, $7 in advance and $5 for Children.

You are invited to participate in this 21st Annual celebration either as an attendee, entering a cooking team, as a vendor in the Grand Lake Marketplace, entering your car or bike into the show or sponsoring the event.

Event producer, Jaime Dobbins, says “This event usually attracts around 2500 people and is a perfect place to market your business to the Grand Lake community. We already have quite a few vendors, 10 cooking teams and sponsors and expect a record breaking crowd.”
