With the summer season in full swing it just makes sense that there is a bunch going on around Oklahoma’s Grand Lake this weekend. With so much to choose from, here are some of your great choices:

The American Heritage Music Festival is going on through Sunday June 9th at Snider’s Camp and the Expo Center in Grove. This great2013 American Heritage Music Festival annual event features the Grand Lake National Fiddle Fest and the Grand Lake National Clogging Contest. Besides that there is great music and fun events all weekend long.

The Walmart FLW Tour at Grand Lake Presented by Castrol is also going on through Sunday, June 9th in Grove. The fishing starts at Wolf Creek Park each day at 6:30 am with the Saturday and Sunday weigh-ins at the FLW Outdoors Expo located at the Grove Walmart 2115 South Main St. The FLW Outdoors Expo at Walmart starts at Noon on both Saturday and Sunday and features interactive games and fishing exhibits for the whole family.

Har-Ber Village Museum in Grove presents Cherokee Heritage Day on Saturday, June 8th. This is a great day of fun and Cherokee culture that is sure to be enjoyed by the whole family.

If classic boats are your thing, make sure to check out the Antique and Classic Boat Show at Arrowhead Yacht Club on Saturday. This show features over 60 classic boats and is open to everyone.

And, finally, don’t forget about the 4th Annual Old Maid Crawl happening in Grove and on Monkey Island on Saturday the 8th. With over 32 businesses participating, you pick up as many cards as you can from the participating merchants and then turn them in to see if you win a great prize at the Grove Community Center from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. And yes…you really are playing Old Maid! Plus, the Grove Area Merchants are having a sidewalk sale in conjunction with this great event, so there will be all sorts of great deals to be had.
