Multi-talented singer/fiddler/entertainer Kyle Dillingham will headline the American Heritage Music Festival, June 11, 12 & 13 at the Grove Civic Center and Snider’s Camp.

This festival includes the nationally certified Grand Lake National Fiddle Contest, and guitar, mandolin, banjo, dobro and other competitions, and three stages of great entertainment.

Top prize for the fiddle contest is $1000. Musicians from across the United States are getting their contest tunes ready for this exciting weekend of contests and entertainment.

All events for the American Heritage Music Festival, June 11, 12 & 13 will be held at the Grove Civic Center.

Due to flooding conditions on Grand Lake O the Cherokees, Snider’s Camp is closed for camping and will remain closed until the lake level goes down and the camp sites are dry enough to accommodate campers.

The Grand Lake Festivals’ staff has made the decision to move the evening activities during the American Heritage Music Festival (normally held at Snider’s Camp) to the Grove Civic Center.

Festival Schedule at Grove Civic Center:
  • June 11 Kick-Off Party Dinner ($8 plate) at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment 7 p.m.plus 30 Minute Band Scramble, Gambler’s Contest, jammin’ & more!!
  • June 12 Contestants Registration begins at 9 a.m. Senior Division Contest begins at 10 a.m. with other contests and entertainment throughout the day with Acoustic Music Gathering on Grove-Stage 5. Dinner served at 6:30 with entertainment beginning at 7. We will end the evening activities dancing to the Western Swing Music by Bob Fjeldsted and the Round-Up Boys.
  • June 13 Registrations at 8 a.m. Fiddle Contests & Entertainment begin at 9 a.m. & continues throughout the day with the Grand Finale Concertat 6:30 p.m.

New and exciting events are planned including the Acoustic Music Gathering on “Grove Stage 5″ on the south stage of the Civic Center during the American Heritage Music Festival. This will be a fun gathering for all acoustic instruments and styles, old-time, folk, bluegrass, Celtic, jazz, swing — anything goes, but ‘you’ve got to have a fiddle in the band.’

Your ticket will get you in to enjoy the fiddle competitions, entertainment and the groups playing on Grove-Stage 5 plus the opportunity to sample great food from the food vendors and shop the arts & crafts booths.

Headliner for the Saturday night concert, Kyle Dillingham, has electrified and energized audiences in over 30 countries around the world.

Kyle recently performed at the First Baptist Church in Grove with the Oklahoma City University Orchestra.

Dillingham was honored by Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry in 2009 with the Governor’s Arts Award and won Best Performing Artist in Slice Magazine’s 2013 and 2014 Best of the City Awards.

Great entertainment is being planned for the entire weekend with daytime events and nightly concerts and activities held in Grove Civic Center.

Jana Jae, founder of Grand Lake Festivals, and her family and friends will perform throughout the weekend in addition to the Prairie Breeze String Band, Osage Stomp, Ozark Wildfire, Blue Pearl, Finley River Boys and other great bands.
