Rusty Pritchard is back with another Grand Lake fishing report for you.
Ity sounds like the bow fishing has been great…and the other fish are biting too!
Well the Bow fishing continues to be great!
With the water level at 743′ and holding steady it has helped out a lot for more consistent bow fishing trips.
I’ve been running bow fishing trips about every night and here in the last few days we have really shot some huge buffalo!!
Seems like most fish are in the very backs of the pockets and on the main lake banks. It’s been some of the best shooting we’ve had all summer right now!
White bass have been good in Elk River and around Sailboat Bridge the last few weeks.
Some evenings they come up and surface and other evenings you have to slab for them on the bottom.
Use your electronics to find the schools on the flats. The 2″ [easyazon_link identifier=”B008ELJ3EQ” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]bendable minnow[/easyazon_link] has been our choice early evening and switching the 2″ [easyazon_link identifier=”B00LDYP7BY” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]Go Go Minnow[/easyazon_link] once they start to surface.
Sweet water and Governors Island should be holding fish as well.
They are still in the summer pattern and should be for another month or so before switching over to the fall bite!
Haven’t heard much on the catfish yet.
We’ve been too busy with the bow fishing and white bass.
If I was to go out I’d focus on 15′-25′ of water and drift shad on a [easyazon_link identifier=”B008MRFCQK” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]Carolina Rig[/easyazon_link] right now. 5/0 [easyazon_link identifier=”B003JETKPU” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]team catfish hooks[/easyazon_link] would be my hook of choice.
