Rusty Pritchard returns with a new Grand Lake fishing report. Take it away, Rusty…
The Bowfishing has been as good this year as I have ever seen it in the past! We have been seeing a lot of fish consistently every night.
Wind seems to be our biggest factor some nights. Wind makes it tough to see so that determines what banks we can and cannot shoot.
This past week we’ve seen several big grass carp and we’ve been lucky enough to get a couple good ones!
We do furnish all equipment on our guide trips and they are generally action packed!
White bass continues to be good. White and chartreuse Go Go Minnows seem to be the top bait for surfacing fish in the evenings.
Governors Island, Sweet Water, and Bird Island and Bad Island seem to be the hot spots in the evening. The bite has been later… 7:30 pm to dark.
Haven’t heard much reports on cats yet. The bite should pick up later this month out in the deep water.
