Here is your Grand Lake, Oklahoma fishing report for July 13, 2015, courtesy of local guide Tony Coatney:

Hello Grand Lakers!

Well another good week on good ol’ Grand Lake is in the books.

The rains have stopped and the boat races are over – what a deal the races were for the whole area.

And, yes, don’t forget its summer time and here comes the heat and hot weather, and yes I love it.

People every year say its hot out bet the fishing is slow but that is not true. The hotter it gets the better it gets!

Grand Lake bass fishing in July

In the summer when it gets hot the fish do the same thing every day – once you figure them out it’s on! Love summer time.

Large Mouth should be bunching up on points since the water its falling. Try jig big worm, and a swim bait.

White bass have been schooling out in deep water try top water or a rattle trap and a spoon.

Crappie should be getting in the deep brush piles

Catfish should be almost done spawning and feeding back up.

Spoonbill are jumping everywhere so be careful!

Remember, if you need a guide trip on Grand, give me a call.

Also booking my winter trips already for Falcon Lake. The water level there is very high and it should be a great winter.

Until next time…Good Luck Fishing from Tony Coatney!
