It’s a new week and that means a new Grand Lake fishing report…this one courtesy of Tony Coatney.

Take it away Tony…

Hello Grand Lakers

Well the rain finally slowed down and the water is falling – but it’s very slow. I hope we get back to normal by the 4th of July.

A lot of people seem to think that when the water is high, the fishing is slow. But that’s not true at all.

Usually no matter what the weather and water level we will find the fish – not always but usually.

Been doing this long enough to know what the fish are doing in any weather, yes that’s our job.

This weekend I took out Timmy Matthews and son Parker and Tiffany Teehee.

They took some time off from the rodeo and I toke them fishing. Parker Matthews is the son of Timmy Matthews and was on the cover of the Chronicle a couple of weeks ago riding the sheep, he is a true cowboy and my buddy!

Now…on to the fishing!

Large mouth are doing best on [easyazon_link identifier=”B001NXC88U” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]Carolina Rig[/easyazon_link], Jig,  and Biffle Bug on the hard head. You will find them on points on rock piles.

White bass has been unreal. Horse Creek area using slab spoons and silver rainbow minnow.

Crappie been catching some around the bridges and under docks.

Catfish been catching a lot while white bass fishing.

Spoonbill are jumping everywhere.

And don’t forget for that hard to buy Father get him a gift certificate that he can use anytime.

Until next time….Good Luck Fishing from Tony Coatney. 918-964-0049 and Grand Fishing with Tony Coatney
