Word on the street, and from Grand Lake guide Tony Coatney, is that the crappie fishing is great…as long as you can find them.

At least that’s what he tells us in his current Grand Lake fishing report for March 30.

And as the water keeps warming up, they will start their spawn and get closer to the banks…making them more accessible to everyone!

Anyway, here’s Tony…

Hello Grand Lakers!

Well last week was really good fishing – the weather has been good and we caught a lot of fish!

And people let me tell you I haven’t done any fishing but crappie fishing. I’ve been limiting out every trip, the fishing for crappie has been unreal.

They have been in deep water suspending in the coves. If you go through a cove watch your locator – if you think its a big ball of shad try crappie fishing they have been big schools of crappie.

Large mouth – I hear have been changing every day. When it warms I hear [easyazon_link keywords=”Spinnerbaits” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]Spinnerbaits[/easyazon_link]¬†and [easyazon_link keywords=”Jerkbaits” locale=”US” tag=”myfamanc-20″]Jerkbaits[/easyazon_link].

White bass doing really good in the rivers.

Spoonbill moved in the rivers also.

Catfish haven’t heard much.

If your wanting a crappie trip you better hurry, they are filling up fast.

Until next time….Good Luck Fishing from Tony Coatney¬†918-964-0049.
