October 29, 2013 Grand Lake Fishing Report
Tuesday, October 29th, from Tony Coatney -
Hello Grand Lakers!
Last week was a really great week for fishing with a lot of guide trips and a lot of fisherman on the lake getting ready for upcoming championship tournaments.
Next week you will have a lot of the big pros on the lake like Kelly Powers, Terry Butcher, Matt Reed, Darrel Robinson, Jason Christie, and many more that fish the Bass Masters and the FLW Tours.
They will be on the water fishing the fourth and final event in the 2013 Bass Pro Shops PAA Tournament Series. It is a great trail that should bring a lot of fisherman to the Grand Lake area.
The city of Grove and GRDA have been bringing a lot of different groups to Grand Lake, so tip your hat to all that the city, GLA and GRDA have been doing for fishing at Grand.
So let’s move on to what the fish are doing…
Large Mouth – They did pretty good this week, caught a lot of fish this week around boat docks, flipping a rattlin’ craw, spinnerbaits, Santone spinnerbaits work best for me.
White Bass – Has been really good as long as we have wind, points throwing the firecracker.
Crappie – Really good around boat docks using Bobby Garland baits.
Catfish – drift fishing deeper water.
Spoonbill – around sailboat bridge area.
Until next time…Good Luck Fishing!
