One of the great July 4th traditions at South Grand Lake is the Fly-In that takes place at South Grand Lake Airport with the Warbirds.

The Warbirds are a group of vintage war plane owners that descend on the Grand Lake area each Independence Day and give Grand Laker’s an awesome air show over Duck Creek in the build up to the great Duck Creek Fireworks.

The 2014 fly-in takes place on Friday, July 4th at the South Grand Lake Airport just North of Ketchum with planes scheduled to begin arriving around 3 pm and being on display until they ‘start their engines’ for the Duck Creek Fly-over around 6:30 pm.

This is a great place for everyone to get an up-close look at these vintage aircraft, take pictures and meet the pilots.
