Each year in mid-winter, the Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show helps lake enthusiasts to take their minds off cold, gray days and instead focus on summer days spent on Oklahoma lakes.

Of course, the Grand River Dam Authority’s Grand and Hudson lakes are among the most popular summer playgrounds and because of that, GRDA is proud to once again be a part of the annual boat show.

If you’re planning a trip to the 2016 show be sure to include a stop at the GRDA Lake Operations Team booth on your list of “must visit” show attractions.

GRDA team members will be there, promoting boating safety, sharing lake rules and regulations, providing information about upcoming lake events and answering your questions about the 70,000 surface acres of premier water destinations under GRDA control.

Over the past several years, GRDA has worked hard to upgrade its boat show presence and this year’s booth will include some new features and displays intended to help make your outing on Grand and Hudson lakes safe and enjoyable.

At the booth you can get more information about the Kyle Williams Safe Boating Classes taught by the GRDA Police Department, as well information on the annual Rush for Brush habitat enhancement programs, the importance of life jacket usage, lake permitting processes and even information on the Grand Lake Shoreline Management Plan (SMP).

The boating season of 2016 will mark GRDA’s 76th year of caring for the waters of Grand Lake, while also working to provide a safe and enjoyable destination for all lake enthusiasts.

Whether you plan to swim, ski, float, cruise, fish, or just sit by the shoreline, the GRDA team looks forward to seeing you out on the water this year.

But first, we look forward to visiting with you at the boat show!
