Another beautiful fall weekend looks to be on deck at Grand Lake, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s and Fall 2014 continues in Northeast Oklahoma.
And while it’s not as event packed as the past few weekends have been, there is plenty to do on, at and around Grand Lake this weekend.
Here are just a few of the things to keep you entertained:
– On Saturday the 4th, Har-Ber Village Museum presents a Chuckwagon Dinner Under the Stars.
The evening is designed as a ‘friend raiser’ with membership opportunities available for the upcoming 2015 season at Har-Ber Village.
When you arrive at 6:30 on Saturday you’ll be able to enjoy beer, wine and old fashioned sarsaparilla while enjoying piano music at The Village Saloon.
Dinner is then served at 7:30 in the Event Tent and features food cooked over an open fire pit, including smoked brisket and sausage, dutch over taters, cornbread salad, cowboy beans and rolls and butter.
The cost is $70 per person and you can reserve your spot by emailing [email protected] or calling (918) 786-6446.
– If a fish-fry is more your style then you’ll want to head to the Cleora United Methodist Church on Saturday between 4 and 7 pm for a fish fry supporting the church building fund.
Everyone is welcome and besides fish you can expect coleslaw, baked beans, hush puppies, desserts and beverages. Everyone is welcome.
– Also Saturday night, starting at 6 pm, it will be the Manic Drive Electric Tour with special guests Shine Bright Baby and Shuree at Picture In Scripture Ampitheater, located just East of Disney off State Highway 28.
Of course, many times – most of the time! – the best thing to do at Grand Lake is …. whatever you want.
This weekend looks to be perfect for a boat ride or finding that perfect fishing spot – make sure to check out the latest fishing report – or just getting out and finding the best in shops and restaurants that Grand Lake has to offer.
Whatever you do…enjoy Grand Lake!
