1909, a new restaurant located at 4 W. 3rd Street in Downtown Grove that opened this past spring, has already become a dining destination for people throughout the Grand Lake region.
The food is a diverse menu of Chef prepared American food, ranging from pub type options including always popular nachos and the amazing, locally sourced cheese curds to more higher end options, including steaks and salmon. And, of course you will find daily lunch and dinner specials.
The craft beer menu has recently been upgraded from the original 10 taps to now having 20 local craft brews on tap. 1909 is the only place in Northeast Oklahoma with such a wide selection of delicious, hand crafted beers.
Now that they have been open a few months, a few weekly events have been established that are sure to become Grove traditions.
- Tuesdays are Italian Night, with Chef Peter Seay exploring his heritage and his roots each week with mouth watering, traditional Italian food.
- Thursdays are Burger Night with a weekly special of $5 1/3 LTOP burgers (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle) plus a selection each week of gourmet burgers with select toppings and delicious combinations.
- Sunday Brunch has proven to be a popular addition, with everything from traditional Eggs Benedict to weekly specials that range from Fried Chicken and Biscuit to a Chorizo Breakfast Burger with a fried egg.
On top of all that, the Blue Duck Brewhouse opens at 7:30 am Tuesday through Friday and 9 am on Saturday to give Grove a one of a kind espresso bar and coffee house, featuring Oklahoma roasted coffee.
1909 has recently expanded their hours for the summer season and is open until 9 pm Tuesday through Thursday and until 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Sunday Brunch remains 10 am to 2 pm and 1909 is closed on Monday.
There is no doubt that 1909 is a great addition to the selection of Grand Lake area restaurants.
