The mind of the playwright for this play, Tyler Rinne, is a scary place. His creepy play, “Forest Paths”, consists of thirteen tales, of which four are monologues and thirteen are short plays. They are performed in a variety of styles.
You’ll journey down a forest path and step into a freaky yet sometimes funny world where you’ll encounter the menacing doppelganger of your very best friend, a sinister camp counselor, a werewolf, and a host of other scary beings. You will also get some comic relief from a frog king, a Billy goat, and a troll. Yes, there are some humans as well. The assemblage of stories will leave you clutching your seat or the friend next to you or you might even get in a few chuckles.
“Forest Paths” is performed by fifteen students, some new to the Playmakers, some from The Playmakers’ Studio classes, an after-school program with training in dance and theatre arts for youth from four years of age through high school The cast includes: Cali Beamer, Lexi Budzinsky, Finnegan Bujold, Sophia Houser (Seneca, MO), Caana Henderson, Micah Henderson, Silas Jackson, Richie McKinney, Gigi Moosmiller, Aislin Seaman, Aurora Seaman, Lahly Seaman (all of Vinita, OK), Sajni Stephens, Aubrey West, and Caitlin West.
Due to the level of the content and often scary scenes, we do not recommend this play for students under 5 yrs. of age and of course no lap sitters please. You may discuss with us of course.
