Watershed Association Annual Meeting

Lake O’ The Cherokees Sub-Watershed Association announces its Annual Stakeholder Meeting on Tuesday, October 11th, from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM at the NEO College Student Union located at 200 I St NE in Miami.
The meeting is open to the public, and also can be attended via Zoom.
The Lake O’ The Cherokees Sub-Watershed Association, or LOTCSWA, is a citizen group working toward improving water quality in the watershed.
The Lake O’ The Cherokees Sub-Watershed includes waters in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. It is part of the greater Grand Lake Watershed.
We welcome landowners, farmers, ranchers, business owners, and residents interested in the future of our waters, fish, land conservation, and public health to participate.
The meeting agenda will review the past year’s accomplishments, discuss possible projects for water quality “Best Management Practices,” as well as identifying partnership and educational opportunities.
We will also set our goals and elect our board for 2023
This meeting is open to the public and is being held prior to the Tar Creek Conference on Oct. 12th & 13th.
