Welcome Back Weekend & Ice Breaker Poker Run

Get ready! VIP Pizza gets Welcome Back Weekend started when they open on the 3rd, and then it’s a weekend full of activities – including the annual Poker Run on Saturday.
11 am on Thursday is the grand opening for the 2022 season at VIP. Get there early for one of the first pies of the year!
Saturday’s events at Cherokee Yacht Club are open to everyone, including the Poker Run after party with a Mardi-Gras buffet, live music from True Swagger, and the announcement of the Poker Run winners.
Saturday gets started at Cherokee from 10 am to noon with the Poker Run Startup Breakfast.
Then from Noon to 5 pm, head out to the Poker Run stops to get your winning hand. And remember, it is by land or by Grand – whatever it takes to get there.
Stops include, in any order:
- Cherokee Yacht Club
- Arrowhead Ship Store
- Cedar Port Marina
- VIP Pizza at Hammerhead Marina
- Mooney’s Sunset Bar and Grill
You must be 21 to participate in the Poker Run and you must have a chip from all 5 stops to be dealt a hand.
Also, Arrowhead Boat Sales in Grove will be passing out a Wild Card Chip that can be used to replace your lowest card.
The party at Cherokee starts at 5 pm with check-in and card dealing, and then the party on into the evening.
As a bonus, on Sunday, Cherokee will again be open to everyone for the Shipwreck Survivor’s Brunch from 10 am to 2 pm.
