Whiskey Kitchen Blues Bash and BBQ

Shangri-La Resort will unveil it’s new “Whiskey Kitchen” and preview an all-new menu at a fabulous “Whiskey Kitchen Blues Bash & BBQ” at Doc’s Bar and Grill Saturday evening, January 25.
The open-to-the-public event will feature sample tastings of all the new menu dishes and live music for a $30 per person admission charge.

In addition to the menu samplings, including a fabulous array of smoked pork, ribs, brisket, rotisserie chicken, side dishes and many more menu items, guests will be offered $1, $2, and $3 whiskey samplers from the new “Whiskey Kitchen” at Doc’s.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and runs until 11:00.
Beginning at 7:00, a full evening of fabulous music gets underway featuring “The Wanda Watson Band” who wowed attendees at Shangri-La’s Fall Festival in October.
A full-service cash bar will be available, as well.
“The Whiskey Kitchen concept is new to the Grand Lake area, but it is very popular in many parts of the country,” said Michael Bujold, Director of Culinary Operations and Executive Chef at Shangri-La.
“We are installing a display of a wide variety of whiskeys that will always be available for those who would like to expand their horizons a little and try some new things.”
While Doc’s Bar & Grill is undergoing remodeling to install the Whiskey Kitchen facilities, the restaurant will continue to provide three-meal-a-day, seven-day-a-week food service with available guest seating in the Roosevelt Ballroom at the hotel from January 15-23.
Regular events including Trivia, Tacos & Tequila Tuesdays, Wine Wednesdays, and Prime Rib & Karaoke Thursdays will continue to be held on a weekly basis in the Roosevelt Ballroom during the Doc’s remodel.
The new Doc’s menu will be implemented for daily consumption on February 1.
“I hope everybody will join us January 25 for all the fun. It’s the perfect Grand Lake party to get in shape for the Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show which gets underway two days later! We’re excited to bring this new concept to Grand Lake,” said Chef Mike. “It not only provides our guests with a variety of new options, but it also brings a new venue of fun to the dining experience around the lake. I think the Whiskey Kitchen at Doc’s Bar & Grill will be a really popular gathering spot. I’ll be there, for sure!” he laughed.
