The 3rd Annual GRDA Summer Lake Launch is all set to launch the summer lake season at Grand Lake and Hudson Lake on Friday, May 2nd, at the GRDA Ecosystems & Education Center in Langley at 6pm.
The theme this year is ‘Aloha, Summer’, and the GRDA Lake Operations Staff will be dressed in their Hawaiian best and you are encouraged to do the same.
This is a free event and open to everyone and includes food, music and displays from Grand Lake area vendors and merchants.
Plus, for the kids and the curious, GRDA’s police boats and helicopter will be on display in the parking lot below the Ecosystems & Education Center, right next to Pensacola Dam.
This is also the perfect chance for you to meet with the GRDA Lake Operations Team and get answers to any and all questions you might have in regards to lake permits, rules & regulations, Pensacola Dam tours, facility use and rentals, dock billing, shoreline cleanup and GRDA’s ecosystems management efforts.
But wait, there’s more!! Great door prizes will be given away, but you must be present to win.
Door prizes include gift certificates, watercraft rentals, a wine & cheese sailboat cruise (a sailboat made of wine and cheese??), weekend getaways, gift baskets, a floating mat from floatingmats.com, dock steps, dock protection system, the Grand Lake Crown Jewel of Oklahoma book plus more great stuff to be given away by GRDA at the end of the evening but you must be present to win!
The reception and information booths are open from 6 PM to 7:10 PM for you to visit with GRDA and the area vendors in attendance.
Then you will hear from GRDA during the “State of the Lake” address by GRDA Chief Executive Officer/Director of Investments Dan Sullivan.
He will update you on the issues affecting Grand and Hudson lakes, including information on GRDA’s ongoing programs, goals and plans for Summer 2014.
