The Annual Independence Day Boat Parade, hosted by the Grand Lake Sail & Power Squadron, will take place this year on Wednesday, July 3rd.

This is the perfect way to kick off all of the July 4th celebrations around Grand Lake.

Decorated boats will gather at The Landings on Monkey Island at 0830 for a buffet breakfast and a little pre-parade information.

Then, at 0930, Commander Susie Holden and Captain Ray Holden will lead the parade South around Monkey Island to Tera Miranda Bay, eventually ending at East Bay around 1100.

As always, non-member boats and guests are invited to join the Grand Lake Sail & Power Squadron for this colorful and patriotic Grand Lake event.

And if you can’t join us on the water, then fly your flag high from the shore and enjoy the parade.

Once your done with the boat parade, then you can make your way over to the Grove fireworks show at the 1st Annual Independence Day Celebration to be held at Wolf Creek Park. That event kicks off with live music and free food at 6pm.

Then, of course, there are even more fireworks at Grand Lake with Duck Creek on the night of July 4th, and the Grand Lake Fireworks show in Disney and the Monkey Island fireworks both scheduled for Friday night July 5th.
