Here is a new Grand Lake Oklahoma fishing report, this one courtesy of Rusty Pritchard.
Remember, Rusty is the guy to call for guided Grand Lake bow fishing trips in the summertime and spoonbill trips in the wintertime.
Here’s Rusty with his latest Grand Lake fishing report…
Bow fishing has been on fire!
The water levels have dropped and the fish are all over the banks right now. My clients are slinging a ton of arrows and hitting a bunch of great fish!
The big mouth buffalo have been staying out on the main lake banks here lately and the small mouth buffalo are still hanging back in the backs of the coves.
The gar are mostly out on the main lake points and we have been seeing some big ones!!
White bass have been really good all summer. Some days are better than others but all and all a great summer for them!
We are still dropping 1 ounce bendable minnow on them. The bite seems to be better in the evenings around Sailboat Bridge and Bird and Bad Islands.
We’ve been just looking for the bigger schools of them on the graph and dropping the slabs on them.
Catfishing is starting to pickup. I hear a lot of people drifting cut Shad out in 15-25 feet of water and doing good.
