Tony Coatney is back with his weekly Grand Lake fishing report. Here’s Tony…

Hello Grand Lakers!

Well what a week…I guided all week and then fished the championship tournament of The Skeeter XFL.

The fishing was very tough but congratulations to Curt Warren and John Pilcher for winning first place and the Skeeter money was won by Rick Woods and Robbie Gwen taking top place of a Skeeter owner winning an extra $5,000.00.

And it was nice seeing all the hotels, gas stations and businesses around Grove all busy.

Large mouth was very tough – we caught ours shallow flipping the back sides of boat docks.

White bass are unreal with all this wind you can catch them like crazy – try the Firecracker¬†Go Go by Littlefield’s Sports – they will take care of you, and try the windy banks.

Crappie are starting to show up also, deep brush piles.

Catfish see a lot of the cat fish guides drifting out deep.

The spoonbill don’t seem to be jumping much.

Also still booking trips to Falcon Lake this winter – the water is up and they are caching a lot of fish.

Until next time, Good Luck Fishing from Tony Coatney!
