If you love to catch white bass, now is the time to be fishing at Grand Lake!
Here is the June 20th Grand Lake fishing report from local guide Rusty Pritchard, with a few more details…
We’ve had some really good white bass trips here lately! I’ve caught fish mid lake and I’ve caught them in Elk River.
I’ve been locating them and dropping the Fle Fly Bendable Minnow down on them and slabbing for them most days. The fish have been on windy banks and the points where shad are present.
Sweet Water was holding a bunch of fish as well as behind Governors Island.
Catfish are still biting but it’s slow. I look for them to be picking backup next month after the spawn starts to wind down! This is my favorite time of the year to start drift fishing!
Bow fishing is on right now! I just completed the lights on my new bow fishing deck and took my first guided night trip last night and they did great!!
Saw a lot of fish and they slung a ton of arrows!! The fish seemed to be more concentrated last night in little gravel pockets.
Crappie are still biting well. I’ve been locating them in 15′ water throwing 2″ Go Go minnows on 1/8th ounce heads and whacking them!!
Bridge pilons and any brush pile you can find are great place to be fishing right now!!
I’m also on Facebook under Rusty Pritchard. Come friend me and catch up with me everyday.
