GRDA’s fourth annual “Lake Launch” event takes place this Friday, May 8th at the Ecosystems and Education Center in Langley from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The event is GRDA’s opportunity to help you gear up for summer and lake season around the shores of Grand Lake and Lake Hudson.
This year’s theme is “A Grand Summer Night” and that’s what the night will be, with free food and drinks, music, opportunities to win door prizes and more.
Personnel from the GRDA Ecosystems Management and Police Departments will be on hand to answer questions about our lakes, boating rules and other issues.
Meanwhile, GRDA police boats and the helicopter will also be on hand, so that you can get a closer look at some of the tools the Authority uses to help promote safe, enjoyable outings.
As part of the evening’s activities, GRDA Chief Executive Officer Dan Sullivan will also be giving his annual “State of the Lake” address to help you kick off your summer season.
Informational booths and displays from lake area businesses, as well as GRDA, will also be there, so that you are equipped with the information you need before heading to the water.
So there is food, music, information, door prizes and even games (like “Plinko”) to help make the night a special one on the shores of Grand Lake.
The GRDA Ecosystems and Education Center is located just to the west of historic Pensacola Dam, in Langley (420 Oklahoma Highway 28).
