Ketchum Public Schools, the school district of the South Grand Lake region, is looking for exceptional teachers to join our team and help us on our path to becoming one of the premier rural districts in the State of Oklahoma.
And, as a bonus, you get to enjoy some Grand Lake Living along the way!
At this time (July 2017), Ketchum has openings for 2 certified positions. Those are:
- High School Spanish teacher
- Middle School teacher – prefer Science, Social Studies or English
Coaching duties are a possbility (and Ketchum HS athletics has recently had a lot of team and individual success).
You can visit THIS PAGE to find current openings as well as Certified and Non-Certified employment application forms.
Over the past couple of years, the Ketchum School District has successfully implemented Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) that value the input from all teachers.
This move to include the teacher voice through site leadership teams and collaborative professional learning teams has allowed the teachers to grow professionally and to expand their ‘ownership’ of the success of the district.
With support from taxpayers, Ketchum has also been able to institute a one-to-one initiative that includes Chromebooks for all students grades 4 through 12, with tablet learning technologies used in the earlier grades.
The Ketchum school community includes a mix of long time local residents plus an influx of new residents who seek the lake living lifestyle and are able to leverage technology like the Bolt Fiber Optic system to run businesses and work remotely.
It is also worth noting that thanks to the property tax base in the South Grand Lake area, Ketchum schools are impacted less by major state funding cuts than the vast majority of school districts in the State of Oklahoma.
If all of this interests you, then the administration at Ketchum welcomes the chance to visit with you.
Please call Joy Taylor at (918) 782-5091 if interested or fill out this CONFIDENTIAL form and include what position interests you and a representative from Ketchum Public Schools will be in touch as soon as possible.
