Four Readers’ Theatre events are scheduled at The Playmakers Theatre, 121 W 3 rd Street in Grove OK this Spring.
A variety of comic and light dramatic sketches, one-acts, and short plays and even one full-length play will be performed on each date for your entertainment: Sundays–Feb 25, March 10, 17, and 24 at 2:00 matinees.
Those who came to similar programs in January & February of 2023 will remember what a
relaxing, enjoyable time was had by actors and audiences alike.
The events will also kick off The Playmakers Annual Spring Fundraising Drive which helps fund all programs and productions, especially those in the 28 th Season, July, 2024 – June, 2025, and play a key role in keeping the arts around Grand Lake and in Grove alive and well.
A donation of any amount will take the place of regular tickets at these Readers’ events.
The gift of a free performance in the series will be given for specific donated amounts.
Reservations are still required as seating is limited.
Call (918) 786-8950 and leave a message and/or reservation, or email [email protected].
Many Readers are needed for these events. You can have a good time performing again when you have the script handy.
For those who have never been on our stage, come join the fun—you may find that it’s an extremely rewarding experience—not scary at all.
Leave a message, please, for us at the theatre ASAP (see above ) so we can get a script or scripts into your hands.
Rehearsals will begin by the weekend of Feb 17/18, especially for the program on February 25.
The plays will be appropriate for mid-school and high school students as well as adults.
This is based on its appropriateness for that age level and the capability of the student to understand the content of the production.
This is a strong guideline though not a rule. Parents may discuss this with the box office volunteer when confirming the reservation.
