Mark your calendars for a week of fun and literacy as Grove Rotary celebrates Dolly Parton’s birthday with a Community Scavenger Hunt (January 9-15) and the Dolly Day Birthday Party (January 16) at Church on the Hill in Grove, OK.
Teams of friends, families, or coworkers are invited to join the Scavenger Hunt by spotting Dolly Parton-themed posters at 15 local businesses in Grove and Jay.
Clues, inspired by children’s books, will guide participants to each location.
Teams must snap selfies with the posters and submit their photos by 5 p.m., January 15 for a chance to win the Dolly Day Traveling Trophy.
Entry is just $25 per team, and you can register at GroveRotary.org.

Join the festivities from 4 to 7 p.m. at Church on the Hill (1005 Leisure Lane). This family-friendly celebration will feature crafts, a photo booth, celebrity book readings, and plenty of cake and ice cream, courtesy of Grand River Abstract & Title Company.
Highlights include a trophy presentation to the Scavenger Hunt winners at 6 p.m., video readings by stars like Kristin Chenoweth, and in-person storytelling by community leaders such as Police Chief Mark Morris.
Grove Rotary’s support of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides free, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five.
Since launching in Delaware County in 2023, nearly 1,500 children have benefited from this program. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate Dolly Parton’s impact on literacy and connect with your community!
