Hands-on history, live demonstrations, and family fun on Grand Lake

GROVE, OK — [2025] — Har-Ber Village Museum announces the return of the Old Time Gathering and Music Festival, a full day celebration old time music and heritage skills demonstrations. Visitors of all ages are invited to step into the 1800s through hands-on activities, working demonstrations, and immersive stories across the Village’s historic cabins and lakeside grounds.

The Third Annual Old Time Gathering and Music Festival with Contra Dance, slated for October 17 and 18, 2025 is hosted at Har-Ber Village Museum, Grove, OK and is presented by Grand Lake Festivals, Inc. Founder Jana Jae says everyone is excited for this Project to take place as it has great synergy with the outstanding historical Har-Ber Village Museum.  Co-Chair Shirley Adams says, “Music will fill the acreage, and people are invited to enjoy the Har-Ber Village displays and exhibits while enjoying live music.  This Festival culminates in a large Contra Dance with live music and caller Emma Neighbor, hearkening to days of barn dances, musical camaraderie and working together, then enjoying family events together for all ages.  The public is invited to the Grand Finale Contra Dance to dance or just observe.  Each dance is taught with several run-throughs, then when the music starts, everyone enjoys keeping up with the fun!”
