Pioneer Days at Har-Ber Village

Har-Ber Village Museum announces the return of Pioneer Days, a three-day celebration of frontier life running Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. Visitors of all ages are invited to step into the 1800s through hands-on activities, working demonstrations and immersive stories across the Village’s historic cabins and lakeside grounds.
What to expect (activities vary by day):
- Live demonstrations such as blacksmithing, woodstove baking, butter churning, corn shelling, rope making, quilting and carpentry
- Kid-friendly, try-it stations—grind corn in a pioneer kitchen, write with a quill or carve a simple soap “critter”
- Storytelling, period music and interpretive talks with costumed volunteers
- Nature strolls on forested trails and scenic lake overlooks
- General Store and Mercantile open for sweets, souvenirs and pioneer provisions
“Pioneer Days is Grand Lake’s best tradition weekend – try it, tinker with it, then take the memory home,” proclaims Jeff McSweeney, Mayor/Development for Har-Ber Village.

Event access is included with daily admission – $15 adults; $12.50 seniors; $9 ages 6-17; free under 5. Members enjoy standard member benefits. A detailed daily schedule is posted at har-bervillage.com and on Har-Ber Village social channels.
