Eclipse Viewing at Grand Lake

Are you wondering about viewing the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8th here at Grand Lake? Well, here is what you need to know.

Here at the lake, we are in line to be at about 96.2% coverage at ‘peak eclipse’.

The mid-eclipse time for us here locally is 1:51 pm that afternoon, with the eclipse actually starting about 12:33 that afternoon.

I guess the jury is still out on cloud cover that day.

BUT, if you’ve got yourself some eclipse glasses and can get out on the lake (even not on the lake), it has a chance to be pretty cool. Do yourself a favor though – don’t stare at it with your naked eyes. Mmmkay?
