Goooood Morning!

Summer isn't letting go without a fight. We'll stay in the mid-90s Thursday through Sunday — and then the real payoff arrives early next week, when highs drop into the 70s with a decent chance of rain Monday. So one more hot-weather weekend, then sweater season starts knocking.

Good thing there's plenty to do while we wait it out. This weekend brings the Barkaritaville dinner & auction for Second Chance Pet Rescue, Wheelin for the Wounded in Disney, a Gun & Knife Show at Wolf Creek Expo, opening weekend at McCorkle Family Farms, and a couple of golf tournaments for great causes. And next Tuesday, we'll honor Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell at the State of the Region luncheon.

Let's get to it! Here is what you need to know for THIS Weekend at Grand Lake:

🏡 Featured Sponsor: The Candlewyck Cove Dispersal Auction — October 4

🚤 This Weekend at Grand Lake

Lake Level: The lake level as of Wednesday afternoon is 742.95' with minimal release at the dam. Lake temps are holding strong in the mid to upper 80s.

⛳ Northeast Board of Realtors Charity Golf Tournament - The Realtors hit The Coves this Thursday morning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start, playing for charity. If you're not on a team, stay out of the fairways and cheer politely.

🤝 Grove Chamber Business After Hours - The Grove Chamber's Business After Hours lands at Grand River Abstract in Grove Thursday evening (tonight!), 5:00–6:30 p.m. Good networking, good people, and you'll be home by 7. RSVP if you plan on going.

🚙 Wheelin for the Wounded - Disney hosts Wheelin for the Wounded Friday and Saturday — Jeeps, trucks, and UTVs gathering for a weekend of honor, support, adventure, and brotherhood benefiting wounded veterans. One of the best causes on the off-road calendar.

🔥 Forge at Rose Rock - Big news on Monkey Island: the Forge Scratch Kitchen food trailer has a new home at Rose Rock (27600 S Hwy 125), and the patio is officially OPEN! Dining is available Friday and Saturday nights from 5:00 to 8:00, and until the liquor license arrives (very soon, they say), it's BYOB. Then Saturday night, Erin Fitzgibbon takes the patio stage at 7:00 with special guest Aries, playing country, rock, red dirt, and classics — food service runs until about 9:00. Come hungry, stay for the music!

🥕 Farmers' Market - The Farmers' Market fills Grove's downtown square Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Only a couple of these left this season — the finale is October 3, so stock up while you can.

🔪 Gun & Knife Show - The AllTex Gun & Knife Show sets up at Wolf Creek Expo in Grove — 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Sunday.

🐾 Barkaritaville -The always-fun Barkaritaville dinner & auction returns to Patricia Island Country Club Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m., benefiting Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake. A tropical-themed dinner, live music from Dillon Leggett, plus live and silent auctions in a beautiful setting on the lake. Tickets, if they are still available, can be had at Barkaritaville2026.auctria.events, the Second Chance Thrift Shop, or the Shelter.

🚜 McCorkle Family Farms Opening Weekend - It's Opening Weekend for Fall fun at McCorkle Family Farms, 10 to 6 Saturday and Sunday. Fall farm season has officially arrived.

☮️ Grand Lake World Peace Gathering - The Grand Lake World Peace Gathering meets at the Lendonwood Gardens Pavilion in Grove Sunday, 4:00–5:30 p.m.

🍽️ The Farmhouse Is Open - If you haven't made it out yet, The Farmhouse (formerly The Artichoke) north of Langley is up and running, open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Same great location, fresh new chapter — and a perfect excuse for a night out.

Next Week: Monday brings the South Grand Lake Foundation's 4th Annual Darrel Hicks Memorial "Fore the Kids" Golf Tournament at The Coves (registration 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. shotgun), supporting the Ketchum Warriors Backpack Program that feeds almost 100 local kids every weekend. And next Tuesday at noon, the State of the Region luncheon honors Oklahoma Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell at Wolf Creek Expo for his incredible service to Grand Lake tourism.

🍽️ More Restaurant News - Mooney's is now closed Tuesdays. And a few seasonal goodbyes: Eddy's, Sharky's, Blue Bluff Café, and BOOM are closed for the season, while Speedy's Chophouse in Grove has closed permanently. Bella's on Grand is now open in the former Stuff'ns Café spot in Ketchum. And, Whitecap, Blind Swine, Quarterdeck, Ugly's, and Cregan's Confections have all adjusted hours, so check for yourself before you head that way!
