The kids are back in school, and NOW we hit the dog days...

Welp, the kids are back in school, and right on cue, August is cranking the thermostat.
We're looking at sunshine all weekend with highs pushing 100° and lows in the upper 70s. In other words: be on the water, near the water, or within sprinting distance of the AC.
This is also the time of year when we are in between big on-the-water events and the Fall festival season. More on Fall at Grand coming up in the next couple of weeks.
But the good news?
The lake is exactly where you want it, and the music calendar is stacked Friday and Saturday from Monkey Island to Disney to Grove.

Lake Level — The lake level as of early this morning is 743.88' with minimal water release at Pensacola Dam. Lake temps are in the upper 80s and not going anywhere. August perfect!
🍔 Cheeseburgers in Paradise Raft-Up — MarineMax hosts their customers' raft-up Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM at The Landings Marina. Cheeseburgers, boats, and a Saturday on Grand Lake — Jimmy Buffett would approve.
🌮 Forge "Sunset Taco Social" — Rose Rock on Monkey Island is the place for a taco social, hosted by Forge, Saturday evening from 5 to 9 PM. Tacos at sunset at the old schoolhouse — not a bad way to spend a Saturday. If the folks from Forge are providing the food, you know it is going to be good!
Farmers Markets - The Grove Farmers Market happens Saturday morning from 8 to 1 on the Downtown Square. And, the Saturday Morning Market runs from 9 to Noon (or 1-ish), right next to Reasor’s in Langley. And, Piguet’s Farm Store over just north of Vinita is back open this week on Friday evening and Saturday all day.
🎤 Ladies' Night Out at Piguet's — Next Tuesday, August 18, from 6 to 9 PM, Piguet's Farm Store in Vinita hosts a ladies-only open mic and karaoke night.
