This Weekend at Grand Lake - August 27, 2026

Goooood Morning!

Well, this is it. The last "regular" weekend before Labor Day rolls in and the whole lake fills up with company. If you've got a house to clean, a boat to fuel, or a fridge to stock, consider this your friendly reminder.

The weather is doing its late-August thing: sunshine all weekend, highs in the low-to-mid 90s Friday and Saturday, pushing 97 by Sunday, and it looks like Labor Day week wants to flirt with triple digits. Zero rain in the forecast.

The lake is sitting right where it should be for this time of year and the water is still perfect for boating, so there's no excuse to stay on the couch. Real football doesn’t start until next week, so now is the time.

Big weekend around the lake, too: the Grove Pro Rodeo runs three nights, there's a luau at Mooney's, a glow raftout in Gray's Hollow, and one of our own is competing in Miss USA Thursday night.

Let's get to it! Here is what you need to know for THIS Weekend at Grand Lake:

Lake Level — The lake level as of early this morning is 742.97' with seasonal, intermittent generation on the river side. Believe it or not… the lake is STILL WARM, lol. Upper 80s+ all over.

🍸 Thursday Lunches - The South Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly members' luncheon Thursday at 11:30 at the GRDA Ecosystems Center in Langley. Same day, the Grand Lake Newcomers Club hosts its "New Newcomers Luncheon" at Cherokee Casino Grove at 11:30, and the Grand Lake Area Creative Alliance meets at noon at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Grove.

🤠 Grove Pro Rodeo - Three nights of rodeo at the Crosswired Cowboy Church Arena start tonight (Thursday!) and runs through Saturday, starting at 6:00 each evening. Bulls, broncs, and a whole lot of dust. Bring the kids and a lawn chair.

👑 Miss USA - Miss Oklahoma USA Annamaria Thomas, who calls Grand Lake home, competes in the Miss USA Pageant Thursday night at 7:00 on The CW. Set the DVR or gather the crew and cheer her on from the lake.

🛍️ 2 Hip Chicks Market - The 2 Hip Chicks Market takes over Wolf Creek Expo Saturday from 9:00 to 5:00. Boutique vendors, gifts, home decor, and a good excuse to get out of the heat for a bit.

🌺 Luau at Mooney's - Mooney's Sunset Bar & Grill in Disney throws its Luau Party Saturday starting at 6:00, with Magen Faulconer & Dillon Leggett on stage at 7:00. There's also a speedo contest (you've been warned). Don’t forget your ID - it’s the law!

✨ Glow-On Raftout - The Glow-On Party On the Lake raftout lights up Gray's Hollow (Dripping Springs) Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Deck out your boat in glow sticks and LED everything and head that way after dinner.

Farmers Markets - The Grove Farmers Market happens Saturday morning from 8 to 1 on the Downtown Square. And, the Saturday Morning Market runs from 9 to Noon (or 1-ish), right next to Reasor’s in Langley.
