Grand Lake turns 86 this weekend, and we're celebrating the way this lake does best with boats tied together, music on the water, and a whole lot of good times in Lawhead Hollow (aka Leon Russell Cove). Woodstock on the Water is THE event of the weekend, and it's shaping up to be a great one.
The weather is mostly cooperating. Friday actually brings a break from the heat (mid-80s) with a chance of a passing shower, so keep an eye on the sky for the raft-out. Then Saturday and Sunday are pure August — sunshine, light breezes, and highs in the mid-90s. Perfect lake weather.

Lake Level — The lake level as of early this morning is 744.15' with minimal water release at Pensacola Dam. Lake temps are in the upper 80s. August perfect!
🎸 Woodstock on the Water – Grand Lake's 86th Birthday Party - The overnight raft-outs and on-the-water concert action moves to Lawhead Hollow (Leon Russell Cove) this weekend for Woodstock on the Water, celebrating the 86th Anniversary of Grand Lake. The raft-out kicks off Friday at 7:00 PM with brats, dogs, and a potluck dinner — bring your favorite side dish. Then Saturday it's breakfast burritos and Bloody Marys followed by the Barrett Lewis Band on the water from 1:00–5:00. Fill the boat and get out there!
🚚 Food Truck Friday: Grove Sports Summer Benefit Rally - This month's Food Truck Friday on the Downtown Grove Square does double duty — it's also the Grove Sports Summer Benefit Rally supporting local schools. Great food from Grove's top food trucks, entertainment, and community spirit, Friday from 5:00–9:00 PM. Eat well AND give back!
🤠 Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo - The rodeo runs Wednesday through Saturday night at the Craig County Fairgrounds in Vinita, with Lickitty Split providing the live music Friday and Saturday nights right after the rodeo at the American Legion. Boots and hats encouraged.
🍹 Around the World Cabaret - The Playmakers are kicking off a four-part cabaret series Friday night at 7:30, and the first stop is Latin America. Mixologist Rick DuBois is running the drink menu — admission gets you a Margarita from Mexico or a Macua from Nicaragua, then it's on to Brazil for a Caipirinha and a Batida, with a Pisco Sour up for grabs in the live auction. Every guest gets a passport that gets stamped at each of the four cabarets, and the most stamps by November takes home a big prize. Reservations: (918) 786-8950.
🍴 Forge at Rose Rock - The great folks behind the super popular Forge & Forge Express food trucks are taking their talents to a permanent home base and, starting this week, are serving lunch at Rose Rock Lakeside (the old Monkey Island school house) on Monkey Island, Wednesday through Saturday. But don’t worry… those trucks will still be found around the area. Keep following them on Facebook HERE for updates on everything, but be on the lookout for a new website that will keep you in the know on ALL things Forge!
Farmers Markets - The Grove Farmers Market happens Saturday morning from 8 to 1 on the Downtown Square. And, the Saturday Morning Market runs from 9 to Noon (or 1-ish), right next to Reasor’s in Langley.
