A perfect July weekend ahead...

We're heading into a classic mid-July weekend at the lake — sunshine, warm water, and temps climbing all weekend long. Friday lands near 90, Saturday sneaks into the low 90s with a small chance of a pop-up storm, and Sunday goes full summer at 95 and sunny. In other words: perfect boat weather. Hydrate accordingly.
One big note before we dive in: the IHRA Battle on Wolf Creek drag boat races scheduled for this weekend have been CANCELED. More on that below.
The good news? There's still plenty going on — the Grove Chamber Awards Gala, Night Golf at Shangri-La, and the opening of "A Wrinkle in Time" at Playmakers. And live music... so much live music.

Lake Level - The lake level as of 8 am is 744.7’. I’m not even sure if there is still a gate open moving a little water or not. The lake is in perfect mid-season condition, with temps in the 80s. Get out there and enjoy!
❌ Battle on Wolf Creek Drag Boat Races — CANCELED - The IHRA Outlaw Drag Boat Series event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Wolf Creek Park has been canceled. If you had this one on your calendar, adjust your weekend plans accordingly. We'll pass along any news about a future date if we hear it.
🏆 Grove Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala — The Grove Chamber celebrates the best of the business community Thursday night at Indigo Sky Casino starting at 6:00 PM. Congrats in advance to all the honorees! You should probably already have your reservations.
⛳ Night Golf at The Battlefield — Glow balls and golf under the stars — Night Golf returns to The Battlefield at Shangri-La Saturday night at 8:30 PM. If you've never played golf in the dark, it's exactly as fun (and chaotic) as it sounds.
🎭 "A Wrinkle in Time" Opens at Playmakers — Grove Playmakers Theatre opens its production of "A Wrinkle in Time" Sunday at 2:00 PM, with performances running through August 2. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for students. Reservations: (918) 786-8950.
📅 Mark Your Calendars - Next weekend is a big one: the Grand Jam on the Water hits Duck Creek July 24–25 (Friday pre-party at Blind Swine, Saturday main event at Safe Harbor Harbors View Marina), and the Wolf Creek Vintage Market debuts at the new Wolf Creek Expo July 25–26. 🛶 Grand River Dam Paddle — Mark your calendars, paddlers — the Grand River Dam Paddle (GRDP) is back for its 4th year on the Grand River below the dam in Langley, and it lands on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, September 5th. It's a great excuse to get out on the water with your kayak or SUP, and there's always a solid raffle full of Grand Lake and paddle-related prizes to sweeten the deal. Yes, it's still a ways off — but early sign-ups usually score an extra raffle ticket, so it pays to get entered ahead of time. Farmer’s Markets - The Grove Farmer’s Market happens Saturday morning from 8 to 1 on the Downtown Square. And, the Saturday Morning Market has returned in Langley! Happening from 9 to Noon, right next to Reasor’s.
