Fall Break is here, and it looks like fall is finally here to stay. Expect sunshine all weekend, but highs only in the 60s and lows dipping into the low 40s.
In other words, it’s a great weekend to be at the lake, but bring a jacket for those evening patio shows. (Your boat seats will be cold, too. Just saying.)
It’s also one of those weekends where you’ll have to pick favorites, because there’s no way to do it all. There’s a car show at Wolf Creek, a chili cook-off on Monkey Island raising money for local kids, old-time music and contra dancing at Har-Ber Village, an end-of-season bash, a family movie night under the lights in Grove, and even more off-roaders rumbling all weekend down in Disney.

🚤 This Weekend at Grand Lake
Lake Level: The lake level as of 9 am is 742.09' with minimal release at the dam. Lake temps are moving to the low 70s, and will keep dropping.
🎨 Fall Break: Indigenous Programming – Thursday & Friday
Har-Ber Village in Grove is celebrating Fall Break with two days of Indigenous Programming on Thursday and Friday. If the kids are out of school and you need a plan, this is a great one.
🚗 Show & Shine Car Show – Friday, 4:30 p.m.
Kick off your Friday evening at Wolf Creek Expo for the Show & Shine Car Show. Bring the family and check out some great rides.
🥞 Bernice Breakfast Fundraiser – Saturday, 7:30 a.m.
Start Saturday with a $5 breakfast at the Bernice Community Center. Veterans eat free!
🌶️ Heart of Monkey Island Chili Cook-Off & Auction – Saturday
South 125 Bar & Grill is hosting a chili cook-off and auction to raise money for Christmas gifts plus back-to-school shoes and backpacks for local kids. Kelly Luttrell & Jack Wride play from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the cook-off and auction gets going around noon. Great chili, great music, great cause.
🪕 Old Time Gathering Music Festival & Contra Dance – Saturday
Har-Ber Village Museum hosts a day of old-time roots music and contra dancing on Saturday. It’s part of the Grand Lake Music Festival Series from Grand Lake Festivals, Inc. More info at grandlakefestivals.com or (918) 786-8896.
🎉 Marina Del Rey End of Season Bash – Saturday, 2:00 p.m.
Marina Del Rey Resort is sending off the season with an afternoon End of Season Bash on Saturday. (Sad to say goodbye, but fall at the lake isn’t a bad consolation prize.)
🐶 Family Movie Night: 101 Dalmatians – Saturday, 6:00 p.m.
Grab a blanket (and that jacket!) for a showing of 101 Dalmatians at Ridgerunner football stadium in Grove. Proceeds benefit Abundant Hope and 2nd Chance Pet Rescue.
